Before, during and after Hurricane Isaac, Sen. Landrieu has been working to ensure that local, state and federal agencies provide a coordinated, thorough response for Louisianians impacted by the storm.

Individual Disaster Assistance
Individual assistance is federal money for an individual or household to repair their homes, rent alternative housing, replace food, cover transportation costs and pay for other disaster-related expenses. This is secondary to any homeowners or flood insurance you may carry on your dwelling. Assistance is available for up to 18 months and capped at $31,400 per household.
Who is eligible:
Residents of the following parishes are currently eligible for individual assistance: Allen, Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Jefferson, Lafourche, Livingston, Morehouse, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Martin, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, Washington and West Faliciana parishes. This list is subject to change as damage assessments are continuing in other impacted parishes at this time.

Louisianians living in parishes that have been designated for federal assistance may begin the disaster application process by registering online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling 800-621-FEMA (3362).
